The above Group will start a new session in the afternoon of Tuesday 2 September in the church hall. All welcome.
The Autumn Ladies
The Ladies will begin a new year of activities on Wednesday 10 September from 2 pm until 4 pm, in the church hall. Their first speaker of the new session will be Romaine on the topic of Carluke Furniture. They will also be collecting unused spectacles for Ukraine.

Blue Triangle Soup Kitchen
If any of you have unused/unwanted crockery, cutlery, sauce pans, towels, sheets and pillowcases (for a single bed) lying around the house, please consider donating them to our Blue Triangle venture, so that we can create starter packs for the young residents moving into first tenancies. We do not want you to go to any expense for this; just pass on stuff that you do not use and won’t miss from the house. You can leave whatever you bring in at the back of the church.
Brunch & Browse Day Retreat
The Revds Jackie and Liz are running a day retreat at Braehead House, Crossford on Thursday 4 September from 10 am until 4 pm. Cost per head is £20. This will include full use of the house and garden, its lounges and worship spaces, lunch and as much tea/coffee as you want. Please add your name to the sign-up sheet on the table at the back of the church if you would like to attend.
Taize Service
Starting on Wednesday 3 September at 6 pm, (and thereafter monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 6 pm), there will be a Taize service in Christ Church led by The Revds Liz and Jackie. For more details, please see Jackie’s article in the next edition of the magazine.
Daylight Bible Reading Notes
It’s now time to sign up for the next edition of the Bible notes. There is a sheet for that purpose on the table at the back of the church.

The stock of voting slips for the above has been replenished. You have until this Sunday to make your views known.
Prayer Tree
We now have a prayer tree in the church hall. If you would like someone or something to be prayed for, please write your petition on the hearts provided and place it on the tree. Your prayer will be prayed for in church.

When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
