Harvest Offering

This year, again, we would like to encourage you to buy a bag of easy-open, ring-pull tins of food (starters, mains and puddings) for donation to the local foodbank in Carluke.  We will “gather these in” during the singing of the opening hymn at the 10.30 Sung Eucharist.

Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal

Start filling your shoe boxes now to be sure of having them ready for the deadline collection date in October.  Thank you.

Autumn Ladies

On Wednesday, from 2 pm until 4 pm, the Autumn Ladies will meet in the church hall. At this meeting they will receive a talk from Morag Sebastion from the Salvation Army.

Brunch & Browse

Our fellowship and formation group remains in abeyance.  We will let you know when it resumes as soon as we know a date.

New Setting

Our “trial” of a new, modern setting for the Eucharist continues.  Music will be provided for those who can read it.  John Wilcox has sourced YouTube links to the various pieces for those of you who can’t read the music. I will forward his email with the links to you separately.  Please familiarise yourselves with it in advance of tomorrow.  It is a very catchy setting, which will be very easily learned over the next couple of weeks.  Good luck.

Broth & Blether
Our Curate Jackie has left a new Broth & Blether soup rota on the table at the back of the church.  If you’d like to contribute to this much appreciated outreach project at The Blue Triangle please add your name to the sign-up sheet.  Thank you in advance.

AGM Homework

Please check the personal details we hold for you on the copy of the congregational roll left at the back of the church and correct/update them as necessary.  If you are new to the congregation and we do not, as yet, have your details on file, please add them to the back page of the document.  If you would NOT like photographs of yourself to appear in any of our hard copy or online publications, please add your name to the photographic exclusion sheet.  There are three vacancies on vestry for the year ahead – two for vestry members, one for a vestry secretary.  Please use the voting slips to make your proposals.
