Autumn Ladies
The Autumn Ladies meet this coming Wednesday from 2 pm until 4 pm. The speaker this week will be Fiona Leishman, her topic – “How to ‘unleash’our minds”.
Bishop’s Visit on 9 June
Next Sunday the Bishop will be with us to confirm and receive candidates, to celebrate my silver jubilee of ordination to the priesthood, to plant a tree in the church grounds and to join us for a fully catered lunch in the church hall. A big day for us all. Turn out in your best bib and tucker – and en force!!
Brunch & Browse
Please pick up a flyer from the table at the back of the church for our new Brunch & Browse initiative. If you intend to come along to the next meeting on Thursday 13 June (12 noon until 1.15), please add your name to the sign up sheet next to the flyers so that the organisers know how many to cater for.
Pastoral Care Team Meeting
The Team will meet on Wednesday at 2 pm on zoom. The zoom link will be circulated ten minutes before the due meeting time.
Painting of the Church
The Church and Choir Vestry are in the process of being painted. In order to pull the church back together again in preparation for the Bishop’s visit we are looking for volunteers on Saturday 8 June from 1 pm onwards. Please sign up on the sheet at the back. Many hands make light work. Thank you.
New Daylight Bible Reading Notes
The next edition of the notes is due out very soon. If you wish to receive a copy, add your name to the sheet at the back of the church.
Away Giving
In the year ahead the remaining recipients of our Away Giving will be: CHAS, Clydesdale Foodbank and Neuroendocrine Research.
Prayer
When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
