Prayer Tree

We now have a prayer tree in the church hall.  If you would like someone or something to be prayed for, please write your petition on the hearts provided and place it on the tree.  Your prayer will be prayed for in church.

Memory Lane Winter Warmer

Saturday 23 November, Christ Church Hall.  11.30 am until 2.30 pm.  Entry: £4.  For that sum you will get a bowl of homemade soup, a hunk of crusty bread, a dessert and a cup of tea or coffee (maybe even with some baking!). All proceeds to Memory Lane.

Memory Lane

Our Dementia Support Group will meet this coming Wednesday from 1 pm until 3 pm in the church hall.  This week Jane Milliken will lead us all in “a make” of Christmas table decorations.  There will also be lashings of tea and coffee with loads of baking and the usual sing song (theme yet to be decided!)

Table Top Sale

We are holding a table top sale on Saturday 30 November from 10 am until 2 pm in the church hall to raise funds for Christ Church.  If you are thinking of having a good old clear out before Christmas, why not take a table (cost £10) and make some money towards the cost of Christmas by what you sell.  Please sign the sheet on the table at the back of the church and pick up a leaflet for passing on.  Invite your family and friends either to participate or to come along.  If you’d like to help on the day, please speak to the Curate, Jackie.

Soupa Sunday

In addition to apres service teas and coffees next Sunday (Advent 1) we will be serving soup and bread – the first of our Soupa Sundays of the new liturgical year!  All welcome.

New Daylight Bible Reading Booklets

It’s getting close to the time for ordering the next edition of the booklets.  If you’d like one, please sign up on the sheet at the back of the church.

Situations Vacant

We still have one vacancy to fill – that of Hall Convener.  If you would be interested in finding out more about the position, please speak to the Rector at your earliest convenience.

Prayer

When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
