The ‘All Age Family Service’ for Mothering Sunday was taken by the children today. They did a splendid job of it leading the prayers, saying a poem about mothers, playing the keyboard, the flute, the recorder and leading the singing. We have such a talented group of children!
Many thanks to Hilary who had made Simnel cake for everyone. Simnel cake was traditionally given by servant girls to their mothers when they returned home on Mothering Sunday. Thanks also to Jane who presented every lady in the congregation with a rose.
We also celebrated the 80th birthday of Ken Rance.
