Tin Can Collection for Ukraine

In addition to our 6 other congregational collections in support of excellent charities Vestry has agreed to support a further collection for an equally excellent cause – Ukraine.  In conjunction with St Nicholas Parish Church we would like to ask you to save and bring in used, cleaned and de-labelled tin cans and pop them in the box in the Memorial Chapel.  These will be collected by Isobel Malcolm and taken to St Nicholas, where they will be sent to Ukraine to be turned into candle holding heaters for Ukrainians who find themselves homeless and cold as a result of the ongoing war with Russia.

Our Current Away Giving Campaign.

In this quarter of the year we are collecting money for Water Aid.  The next collection will be Sunday 31 May.

Christian Aid Week

Christian Aid Week comes to an end this Saturday.  On the table at the back we have left some Christian Aid envelopes, for those of you who didn’t get one through the door and would like to make a donation via the church.  We will extend our period of collecting for this for another week.

Autumn Ladies

The Ladies will have their fortnightly meeting in the church hall on Wednesday 20 May from 2 pm until 4 pm.  All welcome.

Church Magazine

Our Parish Magazine for May and June is now out.  Those of you who have paid to have yours delivered will have received your copies by now.  Those of you who have paid to pick up a copy from the shelf in the porch will find a pile of them there now for collection.  Enjoy the read.  And thanks, once again, to Sylvia for working her magic on it and pulling it all together.

Broth & Blether

Our Curate Jackie has left a new Broth & Blether soup rota on the table at the back of the church.  If you’d like to contribute to this very successful outreach project at The Blue Triangle please add your name to the sign up sheet.  Thank you in advance.
