Tin Can Collection for Ukraine

In addition to our 6 other congregational collections in support of excellent charities Vestry has agreed to support a further collection for an equally excellent cause – Ukraine.  In conjunction with St Nicholas Parish Church we would like to ask you to save and bring in used, cleaned and de-labelled tin cans and pop them in the box in the Memorial Chapel.  These will be collected by Isobel Malcolm and taken to St Nicholas, where they will be sent to Ukraine to be turned into candle holding heaters for Ukrainians who find themselves homeless and cold as a result of the ongoing war with Russia.

Our Current Away Giving Campaign.

In this quarter of the year we are collecting money for Water Aid.  This Sunday, being the last of the calendar month, all our giving in the open plate will be ringfenced for that charity. Please come armed with some extra cash for that purpose.

Autumn Ladies

The Autumn Ladies have concluded their programme of meetings and events for the year.  They will resume their activities after the summer in the month of September.  We wish them and their Convener Isobel Malcolm a happy and healthy summer and a well-earned rest.

Taize Services

These are now suspended until after the summer.  They will return to our schedule of monthly services when the nights start to draw in again in September and the twinkle of candlelight in the sanctuary can be better appreciated.

Broth & Blether
Our Curate Jackie has left a new Broth & Blether soup rota on the table at the back of the church.  If you’d like to contribute to this very successful outreach project at The Blue Triangle please add your name to the sign up sheet.  Thank you in advance.
