Apres Service Refreshments
At Lanark, teas and coffees will be served in the church hall. At Lamington, refreshments will be on offer in the home of Beth and Sandy Anderson at Glebe House in the village.
President & Preacher
At Lanark, John Wilcox will preach and Bobby Burgon will preside. At Lamington, the Revd Jackie will preach and Drew will preside.
Steward on duty at Lanark
The Steward on duty at Lanark will be: Ken Scott.
One-Off Super Soupa Sunday
Today, at 12 noon, in St Nicholas Church Hall there will be a one-off super soupa Sunday to replace this year’s Lenten Lunches. Minimum cost is £3, for which you will receive a large cup of soup, a filled roll and a hot beverage. All proceeds will go to Christian Aid. We need 2 volunteers to help set up on the Saturday, 2 volunteers to serve on the day and I volunteer to make a very large pot of soup. Please speak to The Revd Jackie if you can help.
Autumn Ladies
The Ladies will meet in the church hall on Wednesday from 2 pm until 4 pm. This week they will receive a talk from Ethyl Smith on the Covenanters.
Vestry
Members of Vestry will meet on Wednesday at 6 pm on zoom. Papers and a zoom link will be circulated at the beginning of the week.
Brunch & Browse
Our fellowship and formation group will meet in the church hall on Thursday from 12.30 for the last session in their Lent study. If you wish to attend, please add your name to the sign-up sheet at the back of the church or speak to Jackie to let her know you will be there. This is for catering purposes.
Music in Lanark
There will be a Music in Lanark concert in the church on Saturday 28 March. For details, see brochure in the porch.
Henry Dorricott’s – Easter Egg Appeal
We gathered 9 lovely Easter Eggs for donation to Dorricott’s Funeral Directors. They were delighted with our contribution. Thanks to all who went out, bought and gave.
Away Giving Campaign Suggestions for 2026
In the New Year we will be supporting the following Away Giving Campaigns: Bishop’s Lent Appeal, Water Aid, Social Bite and The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

Prayer Tree
We now have a prayer tree in the church hall. If you would like someone or something to be prayed for, please write your petition on the hearts provided and place it on the tree. Your prayer will be prayed for in church.
Private Prayer
When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
