President & Preacher
This Sunday I will preach and preside at the 8.30 service. At 10.30 I will preside while John Wilcox will preach.
Steward on duty at Christ Church Lanark
This Sunday the Steward on duty will be: Sylvia Russell.
Away Giving
In the year ahead the remaining recipients of our Away Giving will be: Clydesdale Foodbank and Neuroendocrine Research.
Autumn Ladies
The Autumn Ladies will meet in the church hall from 2 pm until 4 pm on Wednesday. Morag Sabiston, from the Salvation Army, will address the gathering.
Harvest Festival & Lunch
Our Harvest Festival this year will be on Sunday 13 October. For your Harvest Offering, please bring some easy open, ring pull tins of food for donation to Clydesdale Foodbank. After the service there will be a “bring-and-share” lunch in the hall. Please have a look at the sheet at the back and write down what you would like to bring to share.
Brunch & Browse
Jackie, our Curate, will lead session 2 on Prayer at Brunch & Browse on Thursday10 October, 12 noon until 1.15pm. If you re intending to attend, please add your name to the sign up sheet at the back for catering purposes.
Music in Lanark
Music in Lanark will hold their first concert in the church on Saturday 5 October. Please consult the brochure (in the porch and on the shelf at the back of the church) for details of forthcoming concerts.
Situations Vacant
At the moment we have one vacancy to fill – that of Hall Convener. If you would be interested in finding out more about the position, please speak to the Rector at your earliest convenience.
First Aid Training
Rob Thain has arranged a First Aid Training session at the Diocesan Centre in Glasgow on Monday 7 October. We have four places on the training, three of which have been taken. If one other person in the congregation would like to join them, please speak to Rob Thain or to the Rector as soon as possible.
Prayer
When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
