Outdoor Service and Barbecue

Jun 28, 2016

Following on from Rev Dan’s example, Rev Drew did a fine job with the Almighty in arranging that once again we were blessed with good weather for our open air service and we hope that he and Teresa enjoyed the occasion. This year the service was led by Gemma and our Sunday school children who did a fine job of leadng us in readings, prayers and hymns.

Niamh, Addie and Emma played the flute and keyboard and Jade read a poem about Life Changes. Many thanks also to Kristyna for playing the hymns for us.

We were delighted that so many members of other churches in the town came along to join us.

Richard, John and Frank proved to be adept at barbecuing. Jamie was an expert barman  and the congregation provided enough wonderful food to feed the 5000!

Our grateful thanks go to the Eliott-Lockharts for hosting this again at Cleghorn Estate. We would also like to thank all the members of the congregation who supplied food and drink for the barbecue and muscle power when erecting the marquee and gazebos.
