Lenten Lunches Update

Due to a lack of uptake, the decision was taken NOT to do weekly Lenten Lunches this year.  Instead we will be having one super Soup Sunday on Sunday 22 March at 12 noon in St Nicholas Church Hall.  Cost: £3.  All proceeds will go to Christian Aid.  We need 2 volunteers to help set up on the Saturday, 2 volunteers to serve on the day and I volunteer to make a very large pot of soup.  Please speak to The Revd Jackie if you can help.

Fund Raiser Games Night

On 7 March a games night will be held in the church hall from 7pm to 9.30 pm to help raise funds for the re-roofing the hall. Tickets will be £3 tea and coffee will be provided. Bring your own food and drinks. Robert Coates will provide the following games: Play your cards right. Quiz. Buzz. Horse racing. Win a bottle of whisky. The games will entertain you and relieve you of money as we try to show the grant funders that the congregation is willing to support the re-roofing project.

Taxi Service

We have a parishioner, who lives in Beechgrove Nursing Home, who would very much like to attend church on a Sunday morning.  She has no personal means of transport.  If you would like to offer to pick her up and take her home on a rota basis, please add your name to the sheet on the table at the back of the church.  Any help to get her to church will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
