Away Giving Campaign Suggestions for 2026

We are looking for recommendations of good Christian organisations, to which we could direct our Away Giving next year.  Please let the Rector know as soon as possible so that Vestry can vote on your suggestions at its next meeting in December.  Thank you.

Christmas Flower Money

Jane, our Flower Convener, would be delighted to receive donations to help buy the Christmas flowers.  She has left a box on the table at the back of the church for that purpose.

Surgical Procedure

I will be undergoing a minor surgical procedure on Tuesday 2 December.  I am unsure at the time of writing if it will incapacitate me or not.  I doubt that I will be unable to work on the Tuesday of the procedure itself, but I have every hope of being able to attend to my normal duties as of Wednesday.

Broth & Blether

Our new initiative at The Blue Triangle homeless unit in The Wide Close is in need of soup suppliers!  Have a look at the sheet at the back of the church and make a soup donation to this very worthy cause. If any of you have unused/unwanted crockery, cutlery, sauce pans, towels, sheets and pillowcases (for a single bed) lying around the house, please consider donating them to our Blue Triangle venture, so that we can create starter packs for the young residents moving into first tenancies.  We do not want you to go to any expense for this; just pass on stuff that you do not use and won’t miss from the house.  Please leave whatever you bring in the break out room in the church hall.

Prayer Tree

We now have a prayer tree in the church hall.  If you would like someone or something to be prayed for, please write your petition on the hearts provided and place it on the tree.  Your prayer will be prayed for in church.

Prayer

When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
