Away Giving
This Sunday, being the last in the month, all our giving in the open plate will be ringfenced for our first Away Giving Campaign of the Year. Please come to church armed with some extra cash. Thank you in advance.
Autumn Ladies
The Ladies will have their fortnightly meeting in the church hall on Wednesday 29 January from 2 pm until 4 pm. This week the guest speaker will be Andrew Murray. His topic will be “Drones”. A reminder to all about collecting bottle tops and stamps for the Pathfinder Dogs ahead of their visit to Autumn Ladies in February.
Episcopal Election
At our electoral synod last Saturday The Revd Canon Dr Nicholas Bundock was elected as our new Diocesan Bishop. Nicholas comes to us from the Church of England, where he is currently Rector of St James and Emmanuel Church, Didsbury, in the Diocese of Manchester. His consecration service will be on Saturday 3 May in St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow. Please remember him in your prayers as he and his family prepare to move to Scotland.
Prayer Tree
We now have a prayer tree in the church hall. If you would like someone or something to be prayed for, please write your petition on the hearts provided and place it on the tree. Your prayer will be prayed for in church.
Situation Vacant
We still have one vacancy to fill – that of Hall Convener. If you would be interested in finding out more about the position, please, please, please speak to the Rector at your earliest convenience!!! (Note the hint of desperation there!)
Prayer
When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
