Autumn Ladies

The Autumn Ladies have their first meeting of the year this coming Wednesday from 2 pm until 4 pm in the church hall.  The first speaker of the new year is Amy Jo from the Salvation Army.  She is currently working with the homeless.  If anyone would like to donate foodstuffs.eg any leftover boxes of biscuits or sweets the homeless would be most grateful.  The items which are popular are cartons of pasta which rehydrate when hot water is added.  Please contact Isobel or deliver to the Church Hall on the Wednesday afternoon. The new programme of events will be available in the Church Vestibule next week and also in the Church Hall.

Vestry Meeting

The Vestry will meet on Wednesday 15 January at 6 pm on zoom.  Minutes will be circulated at the beginning of next week.

Episcopal Election

Saturday 11 January was stage one of the Episcopal Election process. Stage two takes place next Saturday.  Please pray for your clergy and Lay Rep as they engage in this important task on behalf of the whole church in this area.

Prayer Tree

We now have a prayer tree in the church hall.  If you would like someone or something to be prayed for, please write your petition on the hearts provided and place it on the tree.  Your prayer will be prayed for in church.

Situation Vacant

We still have one vacancy to fill – that of Hall Convener.  If you would be interested in finding out more about the position, please speak to the Rector at your earliest convenience. 

Music in Lanark

The next concert in Christ Church will be on Saturday 18 January, staring at 19.45.  Please consult the brochure for full details. 

Prayer

When she is with us on Sundays The Revd Liz Clelland will offer pastoral prayer in the Memorial Chapel after the Sung Eucharist to individuals who would like it.
