A Pilgrimage to Lindisfarne – St Cuthberts Cave

Apr 5, 2023

April 5: A great day walking. Was good to see St Cuthbert’s Cave & to spend quiet moments inside. The saint’s body is said to have been taken there by monks in 875AD fleeing Lindisfarne following repeated Viking raids. Tomorrow we leave @ 6.30am to catch the tide to Holy Island.
